The BIGGEST project EVER!

3 months after moving in . . . we have finally finished the playset!

                          before we moved in . . .               . . . leveling the ground
We worked non-stop on building the playset the week of Brandt's birthday party!  After dark we still kept working in the garage even.  Rich had been leveling the ground since we moved in.  It was more work than we thought it would be.  We finished building it the day before his party and then this pile of mulch was on our driveway the day of.  I moved mulch for 5 hours straight.  Rich and a neighbor boy finished clearing it 5 min before the party started!

ALL THE KIDS LOVED IT!!

YEAH IT IS FINALLY DONE!!

Parker Turns 2!

Happy Birthday Parker!

Happy Birthday Brandt

Best Buds!

TBALL

The boys are having fun right now playing tball.  You know it is really hot here in Georgia when the tball games and practices are inside a church gym!!  The kids still had a blast though.  Jay kept asking when his team was going to play outside. He is excited to start soccer in a few weeks.

Jay off to SCHOOL!

Wow!  I can't believe our oldest has started kindergarten.  Time flies and the kids are growing up so fast.  Jay took the bus the first day and off  he went.  He wasn't as excited the next day when he realized how long the first day was.  He is gone from 8 am until 4 pm.  He is liking it a little more now that he is meeting new friends.  I had such mixed feelings seeing him get on the bus.  I was excited for him to start a new adventure and I was also excited to have things be a little easier for me during the day.  But I was sad too.  He will always be in school now.  I already miss him during the day and I feel like I have such little time with him after school.  Dinner and bedtime come so fast.

Christy - You Are Amazing!

Before!!

After!!

This is why it has taken me this long to update my blog . . . I got a good 3 weeks of scrapbooking in before it was back to house stuff!  My sister Christy came in town for a week and worked non-stop painting and helping me decorate.   It was a crazy week - she brought her 1 1/2 year old but luckily Jay was at school all day so we could still get stuff done.  The paint is hard to tell from the pictures since it was a mustard yellow to begin with.  We went a little lighter and did a sponge foe paint over top so the walls look a little more textured.  We painted 4 rooms, did lots of shopping, stayed up late, decorated, and had lots of fun!  The house is definitely coming along though.  I have a few more odds and ends to finish.  I can't believe it is taking us this long to officially get moved in and settled.

This has been our other huge project . . . you'll just have to wait and see.  I will definitely be showing before and after pictures.  This huge pile of dirt is on our driveway right now.  I bet the neighbors love us!  And not to mention all the trash we have had from some of the furniture we have gotten.  Parker tries to sneak outside every chance he gets to play in this dirt.  And this stuff is messy!!

Well, it has been an adventure moving into our first home.  Lots of work but it is all worth it.  I think my walls would have stayed bare if it weren't for Christy.  Thanks Christy for taking a week of your time to help me.  You are awesome and the house looks amazing!!

Parker is a big boy now!

Yeah!  Parker and Brandt's bunk beds finally came.  I kept Parker in the porta crib for awhile since we were to lazy to set up the crib and then he started climbing out.  Here he is on the floor the first week he moved to a big bed.  He must have gotten out of bed 30 times that week.  But now he is doing great and he and Brandt love their new room!

I think this was Parker's first time to actually get into something!  LOTION
He normally just plays and plays - mainly with BALLS!

Washing the car in the rain!

I couldn't get my kids to come inside.

Playing Outside

Just a few weeks after we moved in, Brandt went from riding a 16 inch with training wheels to a 20 inch without.  He and Jay now have the same bike!!  They are a little competitive about who can go the fastest!  They also love their scooters that they got for christmas last year.  And their new thing lately has been learning how to play street hockey with their Uncle Joe's old hockey sticks!  Thanks Joe - my kids love them.
For some reason, Parker wants to wear a helmet for everything!!

Summer Agenda . . . the pool for 3 hours almost every day

Parker is crazy at the pool.  I have to keep his life vest on at all times.  He thinks he can swim without it and he will jump right in.  One time I was signing in our name and he got out of the stroller and walked right down the steps into the pool.  I looked up and there was a mom jumping in after him.  He wants nothing to do with the baby pool anymore and in the last week the pool was open he stopped wanting to wear the life vest!  He laid down on the cement and threw a huge fit.  I think his terrible 2's are right around the corner!!  I was so proud of Brandt for learning how to swim on his own.  Now he can keep right up with Jay.  Their favorite toy at the pool was their torpedo!!
